What is high holding power anchor (HHP anchor)?

“High holding power” anchors should be suitable for all kinds of ships and do not need to be adjusted in advance or placed on the seabed.

When a special type of anchor designated as a “high holding power anchor” with excellent holding power is used as a bower anchor, the mass of each anchor can be 75% of the mass required for a stockless bower anchor.

The holding power of HHP anchors is at least twice that of ordinary stockless anchors of the same weight. It is more suitable for large ships.
