The Panama chock is sometimes called the Panama Bow or the Panama Canal. It was made in accordance with the requirements of a shipping notice issued by the Panama Canal Commission in December 1999. It can be either mounted directly onto or into the hull (Type BC), or be supplied with a base plate to be bolted to the plinth (Type AC).
This Panama chock JIS F2017 Type AC is Japanese standard, deck mounted type, mainly supplied with a base plate to be bolted to the plinth. And we also provide bulwark mounted mooring chock (Type BC). It is made of high quality cast steel as the requirement of JIS G5101. If needed, it can also be made of steel plate as the requirement of JIS G3106. The surface treatment will be sand blast 2.5 and work shop zinc-rich primer.
The Panama chock is very important mooring equipment. During the mooring of the ship, it bears a huge load. And the mooring chock is more insurance than mooring bollards, because it is closed, so the rope will not jump out.
Boomarine supplies all kinds of mooring chocks that are manufactured strictly following the standards and higher than the requirements of the standard in many cases. And we can supply all kinds of marine chock class certificates such as BV, ABS, LRS, DNV, GL, RS, IRS, CCS, KR, NK, etc. If you have any needs, please feel free to contact us.
