Description

Pear Shaped Shackle is a type of detachable shackle, belonging to a kind of Kenter shackle. It has different sizes on both sides, so it can be used to connect two mooring ropes/chains with different dimensions.

The pear-shaped anchor shackle is made of forged steel or carbon steel. The diameter ranges from 12.5mm to 162mm. The weight varies from 3.4kg to 575kg. Its surface can be treated with black paint or hot-dip galvanized. We can also provide customization according to customer needs.

Pear shaped shackle embodies all of the advantages and strengths of a joining shackle and is designed to fit the common link of the chain directly to the crown shackle of the anchor. The closing system of the pear shackle makes it ideal for use with larger chain diameters. Primarily used for connecting two different-sized mooring terminations. For its lightness and simple operation, this pear-shaped shackle is used widely, replacing the Kenter shackle.
